ULSU responds to school management claims.

Contrary to what the the school management said through the acting DSA, Karo concerning the reasons why ULSU led the protest on Thursday, April 7 which eventually led to the closure of the school the following day. The university of lagos student union has come out to debunk it as it is all untrue. The acting Dean of student affairs on Sunday on channels television said the ULSU:

That the student held him and the VC hostage till 1.30am.
That Ulsu collect money from sellers on campus
That Ulsu went on to vandalize Unilag Water Factory.
That Ulsu was using their bus for Water business.

The PRO of the student union Jumai Fabuyi in a short interview said shes surprised at the school management says on air, as it is nothing but a lie. She has the following to say in response to the first report:

The protest on Thursday ended at exactly 9pm, I don't know when the acting DSA or VC or anyone was kidnapped or held hostage because it didn't happen and it would never happen. In as much as we protested for our rights, we are still law abiding members of the school.
Addressing the issue of taxing the sellers on campus, the operation of the sellers on campus is beyond our jurisdiction, ULSU does not collect money from unilag sellers. The water factory that was said to be vandalised during the protest, has been closed for two weeks before the day of the protest, no property was destroyed there during the demonstration.
Finally, the issue of ULSU following water vendors to distribute water to various halls of residence. If this is a crime the school management should let the students of the unilag know.
